Droid4X– Free Android simulator for PC Windows & Mac OS X

There was a dearth of good android emulators when it came to Mac OS , and Windows too had limited options when it came to free good android emulators & simulators. Fortunately, the scene is changing with some new entries and one of them is – Droid4X!. Droid4X is the sort of Android simulator designed for Power! , it provides complete power to the users by virtue of its speed! and things such as Complete Root Access. Also Droid 4X is an ideal android emulator for Windows Tablet esp(Lix Tablet PCs) Let’s have a peek onto some features.

Features:
- A smooth Android experience
Droid4X is designed based on the Android 4.2.2 OS, hence the reason why it is compatible with most apps on Google Play Store. It also comes with the default browser which enables one to browse as many webpages as desired and interact freely thanks to the embedded Flash player.
- More Available Memory
Droid4X comes with 16GB of internal memory and 32GB of external SD card memory (all emulated). Thus, one will be able to install all favorite apps and games and experiment with different kind of files without having to worry about memory. Given that biggest games on Google Play Store take around 2.5GB of memory that should be enough for installing at least 10 of those games.
- Perfect for Developers and Users Alike
Developers can test out their newest apps with the aid of this program, and see how well they perform on a top-notch device. Additionally, users can reap the benefits of newest games, being able to play them on own computers without the need for any extra hardware.
- No Lag
If some devices struggle with running the Android 4.2 OS due to processor and memory limitations, in most cases this aspect does not apply to Desktop PCs or Laptops too. These are designed to attain much higher performance, hence the reason why running Android 4.2 OS on them (emulated) is not going to be a problem. Pages load smooth, videos playback with no lag and games work excellently at the highest settings thanks to Droid4X.
- The same Android Interface
Android interface in Droid4X is not modified at all, it is exactly the same as you would get on a generic Android 4.2 smartphone or tablet. There are no ads to disturb the experience and no extra content asides from the basics. Apps and games can be easily downloaded from Google Play store or via the included Browser.
Conclusion
Droid4X provides a unique experience for Android developers and users alike.

AMIDuOS Offers Android Emulator On Windows

AMIDuOS is an application that runs under Windows 7+ that appears to be designed more with the tablet user who wants a stock Android experience in mind. My latest playing with Bluestacks, who appears to be the current leader in the market, it seems to be less of an Android experience and more of an app player, which there’s nothing wrong with. Both will play apps, but DuOS has a stock launcher and will let you play behind the scenes pretty easily.
AMIDuOS is launched and takes over a screen the computer or tablet (you can still get back to Windows), whereas Bluestacks functions more like an Android app in a window.

AMIDuOS Folder SharingAMIDuOS boasts they’ve used their years of experience designing PCs to make their Android emulator have direct access to the resources it needs to run perfectly. On tablets, which I am not currently packing a Windows one, AMIDuOS supports multi-touch and gestures like Pinch-to-Zoom sensors including cameras, audio/microphone, Accelerometer, Gyrometer, compass, orientation, and a full-featured software keyboard although if you’re running it on desktop, you can use your keyboard for text entry.
Android applications can be pinned back to the Windows Start menu so you can directly jump into that app from Windows as opposed to launching AMIDuOS and then launching the app. Files can be shared back and forth, although not via drag and drop – you have to define some shared directories. Not a deal breaker but it does feel clunky.
AMIDuOS Root modeAMIDuOS allows you to set the system to run in root mode. Setting it to root mode doesn’t grant you superuser access, you’ll still need to install an application like SuperSU installed to manage requests for Superuser access. Setting this mode also will require you to shut down and restart the Android emulator, but that’s not a particularly menacing endeavor.
Screen positioning fails
AMIDuOS wants monitor 1 and chooses dead center of the virtual vertical space. If you’ve got monitors side by side this is not much of an issue. If you’ve got a monitor at a 90-degree angle as you use the one on the right to read and edit in portrait mode, you’ve got AMIDuOS taking the top half of your primary monitor with no way to move it.
Moving AMIDuOS from monitor one to monitor two works fine until you minimize and restore it. It’ll be back on monitor one.
This being designed for tablets and not for desktops of people who deal with multiple monitors at crazy angles, I don’t particularly assign this too much buggy potential.

System Requirements

Here are the system requirements:

  • Windows 7/8/8.1

  • Intel x86 CPU

  • Hardware Virtualization Technology supported and enabled in BIOS

  • OpenGL 3.0 and above

  • Minimum 2GB of RAM, though 3GB recommended for optimal performance

  • Minimum 2GB of hard disk free space

Odd performance
Some things function perfectly, some things run faster than I’ve seen any Android device out there run, and some things will bog down the system for no reason with ~20% CPU usage and 80% kernel times. I’m not particularly used to seeing kernel times pop up on a system with an SSD drive that moves data at well over 200 megabytes per second. Your computer will most likely vary.
I’d say that it’s in beta and you should expect these sorts of things except that it does not appear to be in beta, they are selling this for $10 for a lifetime license, although you have 30 days to play with it to see if it works for you.

Google Play install separately

While this isn’t a big deal, Google Play, the place where you download your apps, needs to be installed separately. While Android is open source, Google Play and several of the services tied to it, are not, and AMIDuOS evidently doesn’t want to run the risk of distributing the Play Store without Google approval.
To get this working there’s a link on their download page, you download a GApps package in your browser on Windows, open the folder it’s in, right click and choose to Apply to DuOS. A reboot of the Android window later, and you’re in business with Google services.
It’s something to note if you’re not familiar with Android and just wanting to try it out, or if you’re not familiar with how the OS and Google Play are tied together. I’ll point out that at least some other emulators appear to come with it installed.

Wrap up

Overall, I'm pleased with the performance of AMIDuOS. It has a few small issues, but it runs fast, and if a user wanted to run Android applications with much higher performance, or needed to test an Android application in development, this would be an excellent option. The application is already available online for a free 30-Day trial, or you can purchase it for $9.99 USD.

Disabling the Windows Update service in windows 10

we have option to turn off Automatic Updates altogether. All we need to do is stop the Windows Update service and make sure that it won’t start again. I recommend to first check if updates are currently downloaded; if so, wait until all updates are installed. Then, type “services” in the Windows 10 search box and click View Local Services.
Windows Update service

Scroll down to Windows Update and double-click the service. Set the startup type to Disabled. If the service is already running, click Stop. After the service has stopped, click OK.
Disable Windows Update service
If you now click Check for Updates in the Windows Update app, you should see a reassuring error message:
Error message -There were some problems installing updates

Yup, that is all we wanted: “some problems installing updates.”
If you want to later enable Automatic Updates again, you have to first set the startup type of the Windows Update service to Manual and then start the service.

Collection of Best Freeware to Create Bootable USB Drive

Many times we need to install fresh Windows or a Linux distro in a computer system but we don't have access to a working CD/DVD drive. Sometimes the computer system doesn't have any CD/DVD drive attached or sometimes the drive might be faulty or can't read your setup disc.

You can create a bootable USB drive to install Windows or Linux in your computer system. It'll allow you to boot your system using it and then it'll run the OS setup just like you do with a CD or DVD.
There are also many other benefits in installing Windows or Linux using a bootable USB drive. It makes the OS installation faster as it takes less time in copying the files from USB to hard disk compared to a CD/DVD. Also there is no need to worry about scratches or "can't copy files" error messages in case of a USB drive which we always do while installing the OS using a CD or DVD.
But creating a bootable USB drive is not very easy task. You need to run a few commands and need to follow a few steps to make it working. That's why we have shared lots of free software in past to create bootable USB drives to install Windows XP, Vista, Windows 7, Windows 8, Windows Server 2003, Server 2008 and many Linux distro like Ubuntu, Fedora, Linux Mint, Mandriva, etc.
For your convenience, we are putting all these free tools together in this single place so that you don't need to waste your time in searching for them.

free pc productivity tools

Good productivity tools can really help - and we've found 10 of the best. Whether you want to generate more ideas, plan a project, work better with others, minimise distractions or just make the best possible use of your time, there's something for you here.

1. XMind

If you're having trouble starting your project, giveXMind a try. This comprehensive mind mapping tool helps you to express, structure and organise your ideas, then present them in attractive, professional diagrams.
XMind
The program is surprisingly versatile. Click File > New and you're presented with templates for To Do lists, flow charts, timelines, cause and effect diagrams, project plans, org charts, plus even more personal projects like weight-loss programs or travel plans.
Once you've finished, there are options to export your work as images or HTML files, and you can even save the project to Evernote for easy access anywhere.

2. Wunderlist

Whether you're shopping for groceries, planning a wedding or building an airport, you'll probably start the same way: with a list. Wunderlist makes this easy. Type items and press Enter to add them, click a checkbox when they're done.
Wunderlist
But you can also highlight important items and give them due dates or reminders. Lists may be shared with family and friends, and a persistent text chat feature acts like a simple web forum, allowing everyone to make comments and give advice on your various list items. Factor in real-time syncing of lists across all your devices and the ability to make lists public with one click, and this is one powerful tool. Go download it immediately.

3. LibreOffice

Everyone needs a good Office suite, and LibreOffice is one of the best - and it's totally free. With a powerful word processor, spreadsheet, presentation tool, database, drawing and flowcharting application, there's something here for almost every need. Whatever you're doing, tools like a chart builder and mathematical formula editor help to produce professional, top-quality results.
LibreOffice
The program can open and save all Microsoft Office file types - Word documents, Excel spreadsheets, PowerPoint presentations or Visio drawings - allowing you to collaborate on projects with friends or colleagues. Better still, regular updates mean LibreOffice is improving all the time. For example, presentations don't have to be boring flat slides - they can now include animated 3D models.

4. Cold Turkey

Facebook, Twitter, YouTube - it's hard to get work done when there are so many online distractions, but Cold Turkey may be able to help. Just give this clever free tool a list of the most tempting websites and it'll block access to them all for the time period you specify.
Cold Turkey
Whatever browser you're using, the results are the same - enter one of the forbidden URLs before the time is up and you'll be told that the site is unavailable. The terminally lazy could still browse from their phones, of course, but Cold Turkey is still a useful way to remove common PC temptations.

5. GanttProject

Time is money, especially for large-scale and business projects, so if you're taking on a complex task then it's important to use the right software. GanttProject is an industrial-strength cross-platform (Windows, OS X, Linux) project manager that provides everything you need to stay in control. Create and organise tasks, add milestones, set priorities and costs, allocate resources, monitor your colleague's workload: it's all here.
GanttProject
Well-presented Gantt and PERT charts keep you fully up-to-date with progress. Optional cloud storage makes it easier for others to work on the project, while capable PDF reporting helps you share the current situation with the rest of your team.

6. TeamViewer

No matter how well organised you are, sometimes you'll be in one place and the files or people you need will be somewhere else. And that's where TeamViewer comes in. Once set up, this amazingly powerful free-for-private-use tool allows you to access and use remote PCs as though you were sitting in front of them.
TeamViewer
You can hold web meetings with audio, video and text chat, a whiteboard, file sharing and more (meetings can even be recorded for reference later). Best of all, you can do this from almost any device. TeamViewer has clients for Windows, Mac, Linux, Android, iPhone and iPad, and you can attend meetings through your web browser without installing any software at all.

7. Launchy

Windows has given us Explorer, the taskbar, Start Menu and the Start Screen, yet it can still take an age to find the files you need. Launchy aims to change all that by indexing your core files and allowing you to launch them with a few keystrokes.
Launchy
To use the program, press Alt+Space and start typing whatever you're looking for: an application, file, folder, document or bookmark. As you type each key, Launchy displays its best match; press Enter when this is correct and the application, file or folder will be launched right away. The program also includes a simple calculator (try typing 2+2=), and a range of plugins provides even more power.

8. Mozilla Lightning

Mozilla's Thunderbird isn't just a great email client. Add Lightning's comprehensive scheduler and it becomes an open-source Outlook, a powerful tool for getting your life in order. At Lightning's heart is a well-designed calendar. Add one-off or recurring events, set up reminders, even invite friends or family to join in.
Mozilla Lightning
It's just as easy to set up tasks, attach web pages or documents and set a priority or status to help manage your activities. Working with others? Lightning can import and export calendars in the popular ICS format, or you can publish your calendar for everyone to view in a couple of clicks.

9. Evernote

Productivity isn't just about getting more done at your desk. Ideas and inspiration can happen anywhere, which is why you need Evernote to tie them all together. Whether it's a quick to-do list or a lengthy essay, you can add it to your Evernote workspace. Grab photos, screenshots, links, the interesting bits of a web article - anything that can help with your current projects.
Evernote
Any note can have a "reminder" attached, optionally sending an email alert for important tasks. Smart search tools scour everything you've collected to find the details you need. And Notebooks can be synced across all your devices as required, enabling you to view and work on them anywhere.

10. PhraseExpress

How much time do you waste typing the same words and phrases over and over and over again?
The free (for personal use) PhraseExpress saves keystrokes by expanding abbreviations into full text snippets. "ADR" could expand to your address, "SIG" might be your email signature, "RPLY" could become "Dear customer, Thank you very much for contacting us". Snippets may include formatting, pictures, tables and more, and you're able to paste them into almost any application.
PhraseExpress
That's great - but it's just the start. PhraseExpress also learns and automatically auto-completes full sentences on demand. There's a system-wide spellchecker, a clipboard manager, calculator, program launcher and much, much more.

IDM registered with a fake serial soultion

But few months ago, with the latest update version 6.18 build 7 (released on Nov 09, 2013) Internet Download Manager was literally had a breakthrough and crushed all the serial numbers, keygens, cracks, patches. Even if they worked just for a little while, users were prompted every minute reminding,
idm has been registered with a fake serial number
Internet Download Manager has been registered with a fake serial number
I tried re-patching, reinstalling, but this annoying message was persistent. It was so annoying that it keeps popping up until you exit  IDM.

After cracking and patching IDM, just go to the installation folder of IDM “C:\Program Files (x86)\Internet Download Manager” and rename the “IDMGrHlp.exe” to anything you want or just delete it. Done!

rename the "IDMGrHlp.exe" to anything you want or just delete it

Rename the “IDMGrHlp.exe” to anything you want or just delete it

But wait! Every time you run IDM, there would be a new popup box saying “IDM cannot find 1 files that are necessary for browser and system integration. Please reinstall IDM“.

To get rid of it, place anything in that folder “C:\Program Files (x86)\Internet Download Manager and rename it “IDMGrHlp.exe“. I made a copy of the “idmBroker.exe” and renamed it to “IDMGrHlp.exe“.

make a duplicate of idmBroker.exe and rename it to IDMGrHlp.exe.
Make a duplicate of idmBroker.exe and rename it to IDMGrHlp.exe.

No annoying message anymore!!!

Install windows 7 from a usb drive

Installing Windows 7 directly from a USB thumb drive can be done in a couple of easy steps, thanks to Microsoft’s very own Windows 7 USB/DVD Download Tool.

What do you need?

There are several items required for using the tool, to create a bootable Windows 7 Setup from a USB thumb drive.
  1. You will need .NET Framework, which you can get here. This is for Windows XP and Vista users only; Windows 7 users already have the latest version of .NET Framework installed.
  2. You will need the Windows 7 ISO file that you bought and downloaded through official retail channels, like the Microsoft Store. The Windows 7 Setup DVD cannot be copied directly to a USB thumb drive. However, you can convert your Windows 7 Setup DVD into the ISO format. Refer to the section below titled “Make An ISO File Out of Your Windows 7 DVD”.
  3. You will need a machine that supports booting up from a USB thumb drive. This is a feature that all netbooks—and most notebooks and desktop PCs—have.
  4. Lastly, you will need a USB thumb drive with at least 4 GB of free space. Make sure that it is empty and that all of your files have been moved to a safe location.

Make an ISO file out of your Windows 7 DVD

Most users purchased Windows 7 from physical retail stores or online, or by getting it with a new PC. Since the tool is only able to create a bootable Windows 7 Setup on a USB drive from an ISO file, you will have to convert your DVD. To do this, take the following steps:
  1. Download and install MagicISO Maker from http://www.magiciso.com/download.htm. Insert the Windows 7 DVD into your drive. Open up the Start menu, and click on “Computer”. Right-click on your drive, and select “MagicISO” and “Make Image File from X:”—where X stands for the letter of your DVD drive.magiciso_maker
  2. Click on the little folder icon next to “Output File”, and select the folder where you want to place the ISO file, such as “Desktop”. Then type a name, and click “Save”. Next, select “Standard ISO image file (.ISO)” under the “Output format” settings.
    iso_from_cd
  3. Click “OK”, and wait for the Windows 7 DVD to be converted into the ISO format.
Now you have an exact copy of the Windows 7 DVD saved on your hard disk, and it’s time to transfer the copy to a USB thumb drive.

Install Windows 7 from a USB thumb drive

The Windows 7 USB DVD Tool will now come into play! Follow these steps to create a bootable Windows 7 install from a USB thumb drive:
  1. Download and install the Windows 7USB/DVD Download Tool.
  2. The application shortcut should appear on your desktop. Make sure that the USB thumb drive is plugged in, and then double-click on the shortcut to launch the program. Click on “Browse”, and select the ISO file you have either purchased online or created using the previous step-by-step guide. Click “Next”.microsoft_store
  3. In the next screen, click on “USB device”, and select the USB drive. For example:
  4. Click on “Begin copying” to start the process, which might take a couple of minutes. Once all of the setup files are on the USB thumbdrive, click on “X”.

Run the Windows 7 setup!

From now on, it’s pretty easy! Plug in the USB thumb drive, and get your PC, laptop or netbook to boot directly from the USB port. For that, you need to open up the boot menu. (You can find it on most PCs by pressing one of the following keys: ESC, F2, F8, F12, DEL, ALT or CTRL. If that doesn’t work, watch out for any hints during boot up, such as “Hit the XX key to enter the boot menu”.)
